Electroset Aqua Purifiers Ltd.,Offers "Chemoline"Chlorine Liquid as a water disinfectant . This is an extraordinary technology with efficient experience and expertise on modern scientific lines of several years.Chemoline Chlorine is an agent which destroys organisms in the water & leaves behind easily detecatable residual, besides serves as tracer element, its disappearance signal contamination to the minutest degree. Out of all disinfectants known, chlorine is most powerful, effective & economical in today's Indian Conditions.
Chelomine Chlorine Liquid Applications..
Bulk water supply
Line disinfection
Treatment of swimming pool
Whitening of Linen
Disinfectant of Ponds-Lakes-Storage Reservoirs etc.
Calculations for Use
The Calculation of Chlorine Liquid is simple and recommended qualities/quantities are stated here under :-
Suppositions
Water required to be treated
:
200,000 Gallons
Chlorine Strength required at source i;e
UG tank or Tube well
:
2 mg/l
Chlorine Liquid Strength available
:
90/gms/lt
mg/l=mg of Chlorine Contents per Litre
Calculation..
2,00,000 Gallons of water
:
2,00,000 x 4.54 = 9,08,000 ltr.
Chlorine dose required 2 mg/l i;e.
:
9,08,000 x 2 = 18,16,000 mg of Chlorine Required
Chlorine Liquid strength
:
90 gms/ltr +- 10% i;e. = 81 or say 80 or 80,000 mg of Chlorine
Chlorine Solution Required..
18,16,000 mg
¸
80,000
= 22.7 ltr. of Solution
(The Chlorine Reqd.)
(Chorine avaliable)
Safe Water : Boiling or Chlorination..
Boiling of water for 15 minutes at 1 Kg/cm2 pressure makes, it safe for drinking purpose. This water when cooled and transferred to another vessel becomes contaminated. Hence the best and most effective way of disinfection can be Chlorination.
Advantages of
Chemoline Chlorine LiquidOver Stable
Bleaching Power
No
sludge formation is there, as compared to bleaching which contains 67%
lime and this forms into sludge.
No
Choking of pipes is there, as in bleaching were lime settles down in the
pipes and corners.
The
public health standards indicate it to be more safe against bleaching
which causes stone and intestinal problems due to lime contents
The
potency i;e. strength does not get lost after opening of container where
as in bleaching the potency is lost immediately on opening due to the fact
that the bag cannot be resealed.
No
material damages are there due to rain where as in case of bleaching the
total destruction is there if the material is exposed to moisture or rain.
No
irritation is there while using liquid whereas bleaching powder being a
fine powder escapes inthe air faster and causes irritation to Eyes, Skin
and Nostrils.
Lesser
contact perid is required for liquid as compared to SBP.
Questions you would
like to ask..
Q. Why 2mg/1 Dose has been taken at
Source in UG Tank or Tubewell ?
A. According to IS 10500, i;e. the specification for drinking
water, a dose of 0.2 mg/1 to 0.5mg/1 is recommended at the consumer end,
to achieve this strength generally in practice it was noted that a
strength of 1 mg/1 should be dosed. In general case the Chlorine, because
of having property to evaluate/looses the strength faster a higher dose
was recommended. The other factors in absorbing Chlorine are micro
organisms already there in the water or in the pipe lines.
Q. Why calculate the strength of Chlorine at
80 GPL when 90 GPL strength is there ?
A. It is always recommended to take 10% minus strength as,
due to storage, the strength reduces.
Q. Will the Solution increase the
sodium contents in water ?
A. No. This version is totally wrong, it is only in India
that this version is there because we still think of old ages, whereas in
all the European Countries Sodium Hypo is treated as the best available
sources. This is evidnt from the American Public Health Manual which is
the main quiding criteria for our Public Health Specifications in India.
The Sodium contents increase by hardly 0.5 to 1.0 mg/1. Though we would
ourselves not recommend it at places where sodium contents is more, but
this is in 2 or 3 places only out of 1000 places.
Q. Will the Solution increase the pH value ?
A. NO, there is not much of pH increase as it will
increase only by .01 to .02 pH .

Recommendations
A cool dark storage facilty is recommended. While shipping it should be
stored away from boilers or any other sources of heat.
Caution
While using the solution keep away clothes and skin as the solution
has a bleaching powder and can bleach the clothes and for skin it can
cause irritation.
